張景恵（満洲国総理）の演説
　前回の汪兆銘演説に続き、張景恵満洲国総理の演説をご紹介します。

１９３１年９月１８日柳条溝事件が起こり、３０万を数える張学良の東北軍が１万５千の関東軍に壊滅されると、満州各地（奉天、吉林、遼寧、ハルピン等々）の軍閥実力者は次々と独立を宣言しました。関東軍がそれを糾合して組織されたのが満州国ですが、なんとあの広大な満州で９月の事件から５ヶ月後には、満州国の建国が宣言されました。
　張景恵は、ハルピンで独立を宣言した指導者ですが、満州国の総理に就任します。関東軍の強力な『内面指導』がありましたが、それは決して満州人、張景恵などの指導者の意に反したものではなく、当時世界の奇跡といわれる大発展をもたらしたものでありました。
　張景恵総理は言っております。
　「「１０年前・・当時満洲の支配者として人民にあくなき搾取を加えつつあった張学良軍閥が、米英の東亜撹乱政策に乗ぜられて露骨な反日態度に出たのに対し、日本が敢然起って張軍閥を打倒した結果・・真に国民を向上し、国土を発展せしむべき自主的なる道義国家の樹立に、三千万民衆の総意が翕然として集まったのは当然のなり行きでした」「この１０年間・・国家財政は建国当初二億七千万円であったものが・・実に１６倍余たる四十四億五千万円に膨張し、…初等学校児童数五十万は、二百五十万人に達しているのであります。」
　これが、傀儡国家と批判されている満州国の実態でした。

Address of Chang Ching-hui,
Prime Minister of the Empire of Manchuria,
Given at The Greater East Asian Conference held on November 5, 1943

On September 18, 1931, the Mukuden Incident broke out in Shenyang, Manchuria. The Zhang Xueliang army, 300,000 strong, was quickly broken down by the 15,000 strong Kwantong Army, warlord leaders in each area thereafter declared independence, one after another. The Japanese Kwantong Army unified these independent local leaders and established Manchuquo only in 5 months.
The Kwantong army took to strong leadership in running Manchuquo, but it was greatly welcomed by the Manchurian people, because Manchuquo then realized the miracle of unprecedented national advancement.
Chang Ching-hui was the leader of independent Harpin, and became Prime Minister of Manchuquo. He said in his address;

It was the militaristic clique of Zhang Xueliang that practically assumed control of the district of Manchuria, cruelly squeezing the people. …Japan decisively launched a counterattack until, at last, the Zhang government broke down. As a result, it was no wonder that thirty million people got together to give support to the new country of morality and autonomy. …Now I give some figures. The scale of national finances was, at the time of the foundation of the country, two hundred seventy million or so yen. It has rapidly expanded by sixteen times in ten years. It now exceeded four billion and four hundred and fifty million. …The number of elementary school students increased from half million to two and a half million.

Is this really the puppet state that the People’s Republic of China denounces as such? Before deciding on Manchuquo, you are strongly recommended to read Chang Ching-hui’s address yourself.

この中で、「大東亜戦争勃発するに至り、米英は・・益々重慶を利用して日本を牽制する方途を強化せることは、すでに世人の知る事実でありますが、我々は敢えて米英のかかる計画が間もなく失敗に帰すべきことを断定する次第であります。何故ならば、重慶側の将士及び民衆は悉く国父孫先生の遺教に帰依しているのでありまして、本年１月９日以来、日本は中国に対し早くも租界を還付し、治外法権を撤廃し、最近に至り日華条約を以って日華基本条約に代え、同時に各種付属文書を一切破棄せられたのであります。」
　日本が中国を侵略していたなどという俗説を、孫文の後継者汪兆銘の演説は木っ端微塵に粉砕していることがお分かりいただけるでしょう。

In addition, I would like to introduce the actual addresses given by the seven representatives of the independent countries from East Asian region, one by one.
They are Prime Minister Tojo Hideki from Japan, President Wang Ching-wei from China, Prime Minister Chang Ching-hui from Manchuquo, Prince Wan Wai Thayakon from Thailand, President Jose P. Laurel from Philippines, Prime Minister Ba Maw from Burma and President Subhas Chandra Bose from the Provisional Government of India.
The first presented is by Wang Ching-wei, President of the Republic of China. This was originally addressed in Chinese and translated into English. If one reads this address, it will be understood that Japan actually tried to help China in numerous areas, which conflicts with the generally held notion that Japan unilaterally invaded China and brutally harassed the Chinese people.

虚偽情報の分析―第二の吉田清治のウソ

　The Asia-Pacific Journal: Japan Focus（アジア・パシフィック・ジャーナル）という英文サイトがあるが、そこにアイルランド人ジャーナリスト、デヴィッド・マックニール記者が＜「やっぱりね、過去をちゃんと見てないものは、また同じことを始める」慰安所と日本軍の関わりについてある衛生兵が報告＞と題した記事を書いている。
　相模原在住の９２歳の元牧師で、中国戦線で衛生兵をしていたという松本栄好氏が「日本兵が村を急襲して、逃げ遅れた女性達を兵舎に連れて帰って強姦した」と証言したと書いているのである。
　ケネディー日砂恵さんは、アメリカ人ジャーナリストのマイケル・ヨン氏、調査マンのアルフレッド・ジョンソン氏とともに、松本氏に直接会ってインタビューしてみたところ、驚くべき事実が判明した。
　まず第１に、松本氏はマックニール記者に会ってなどいなかった。マックニール記者はおそらく赤旗を元に勝手な記事を書いたことが判明した。
　さらに松本氏は吉田清治は嘘つきだと批判し、慰安婦はもともと売春婦たちですと断言し、慰安婦が暴力や虐待を受けたのを見たこともないというのだ。戦争犯罪を目撃したこともない、というのだ。それがいつの間にか慰安婦虐待の話になっていった経過について心理学的な観点からケネディーさんは分析している。くわしくは本文をお読みいただきたい。

THE ANATOMY OF A FALSEHOOD

The Asia Pacific Journal carried an article about testimony given by Matsumoto Masayoshi. The 92-year-old resident of Sagamihara City (Kanagawa Prefecture) is a former Christian minister who served as a medical corpsman in China during World War II. The author of the article is David McNeill, an Irish journalist. McNeill has consistently written articles that are anti-Japanese in nature. This one begins as follows:
“If we don’t face our past, we’re bound to repeat the same mistakes.” Japanese wartime medical orderly reports on the army’s role in maintaining the “comfort women” system.
According to Matsumoto, when Japanese troops raided a village, they would capture any women who were unable to escape, take them back to their barracks, and rape them. He also provided descriptions of his physical examinations of the women.
Ms. Kennedy, together with American journalist Michael Yon and researcher Alfred Johnson, visited Mr. Matsumoto at his residence and interviewed him face-to-face on this issue. The results are really astounding.
Firstly, Mr. Matsumoto denied that he ever met David McNeill. He further felt strongly that Yoshida Seiji was a liar. He stated that “Before they were comfort women, they were prostitutes.” He still held, however, a common misconception about the Women’s Volunteer Corps, which he, perhaps, learned through the leftwing media. Even though he never witnessed an abduction or war crimes against comfort women he thought that comfort women were abducted from their homes and raped. A falsehood unintentionally created through no ill will.
Ms. Kennedy analyses how such a false story developed, adopting Dr. Elizabeth Loftus’ psychological analysis. For more details we recommended reading her essay.
